Sunday is Family Day at the Arkansas Flower & Garden Show! Kids can attend two free gardening workshops where they will learn about how plant roots work and earthworms.
These are small-group sessions for 30 child participants (accompanied by 1 or more adults); each session will be repeated.
You choose the session you wish to attend. All sessions are free with admission to the show.
Six parts of plants that we eat will be introduced to children as they participate in hands-on-learning activities. The make-and-take projects will reinforce their interest in plants and the food they provide.
Through experiments and observations, children will explore the earthworm's physical and behavioral adaptations that make it one of nature's "dirt diggers." Children will also make and take their own "worm jar."
